Where did that six months go?
All I seem to be looking at are problems this week. At least some of them are not mine…
Listening to some light relief in the form of Monty Python. It probably dates me but I don’t mind… By the way this clip has some elements that are not safe for work!
Some days nothing comes out…
Having a break from the internet has made me think about how much time it takes up that could be spent elsewhere.
I did to dig through my collection of links to find this week’s folio by Ian Brown
Listening to Brentwood. Their cover of Deadpool Rap is so not safe for work but brought some much needed relief when I needed it.
It’s beginning to feel like there is not longer room for shades of gray. Pick a side, the more extreme and intractable the better. All that matters is you are right and anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. Rational debate is dead.
Perhaps even that is an extreme point of view but at least I’m willing to listen and change…
Looking at work by Matt Marrash
Listening to Christine and the Queens
In every challenge there is a tipping point at which time you start to feel some optimism that the end can be reached. That precedes a triple fork in the road,
One path leads to completion and success, one to failure, starting over again and learning from that. Then there is that third path that goes nowhere because you cannot accept the lessons and don’t want to keep trying.
There is nothing wrong with failing. Nothing. Ever.
Miles Aldridge is this week’s folio share
Listening to Hozier
Needing to make a mark and all the elements are present, a surface to record on, a tool to record with but no idea of what to place on the page… My mind is as dull as the weather at present.
The only consolation is chocolate
Normally there would be a looking and listening post but since my time has been spent in repetitive unproductive phone support sessions with my ISP, I’m resorting to using a phone to blog
I have been listening to Side Pony by Lake Street Dive when I’m not on hold …
