There was a small break in the weather today that let me get outside long enough to photograph these flowers. It was still windy but I managed to work between gusts. I also used a small folding diffuser to soften the direct sun and reduce the breeze a little.

Taken with a diffuser. I prefer this image as the shadows aren’t as hard and I can see more detail like where the last rain washed the pollen onto the petals. The only downside is that the diffuser was not big enough to shade the bottom right so that part of background will need a little toning down.
Got to make the most of opportunities when they come up… It’s pouring outside now!
